Hard gel is a dense, rigid gel cured under a UV or LED lamp, strong enough to sculpt genuine length over a form or tip. It is the closest gel equivalent to acrylic in strength, without the monomer odour. The defining difference from soft gel is removal: hard gel will not dissolve in acetone and has to be filed off.
